Broadband goals can be very different depending on a community’s size and location. Smaller communities might want to attract broadband, while larger communities could need to manage the broadband installation. In this session, we will look at the specific steps that the City of West Des Moines took to do both. Why would they need to do both? Because they needed to manage the broadband installation in some areas while finding ways to get broadband to others. Their solutions can apply to all sizes of communities. We will also discuss the impacts of 5G/Small cell on all communities and what you can do to prepare for what is coming.
