Building a Collaborative Planning Approach to Weave Your Fiber Dreams

October 1 – 11:00 am to 11:45 am
Shore Room

There are “local champions” in communities across North America, the “dreamers” who just want to build a fiber network, but lack knowledge and know-how to get it done.

This talk will explore how automated fiber optic network design can be used to enable a collaborative approach between consultants, engineers and these “dreamers” who are looking to put together a plan for funding and building their fiber network. This collaboration helps overcome the early challenges that they face in making decisions; on which technology to use, who to serve and estimating the CAPEX of their project.

After this talk, dreamers will have a better idea of what they can be doing to begin making planning decisions before they bring on their experts. At the same time, consultants and engineers will learn how to better support more of these communities across America.
