Wisconsin: Challenges and Opportunities – The Future of IoT in Wisconsin

October 2 – 10:30 am to 11:15 am
Northshore

The “Internet of Things”, or “IoT” involves products that have “situational awareness” and can communicate their state to the cloud (or edge), where data can be collected and analyzed for feedback.

The Wisconsin IoT Council (WIoT), a chapter affiliate of the Midwest IoT Council, was conceived to stoke discussion among all sizes of Wisconsin manufacturers about connected products. WIoT is a membership-driven organization that will hold events and meetups periodically throughout the state.

This session will discuss:

  1. What IoT means
  2. WIoT’s mission
  3. What we expect the impact of IoT to be on Wisconsin for the next 5 years
